Bring your family and friends out for this unique experience! Check out the winery and surrounding property from a bird’s eye view (50-70 feet) as the hot air balloon lifts you up into the sky for a tethered ride. Rides are 6:30-8:45pm (with respect to daylight/fuel). Check-in begins at 6pm. Live music 6:30-9:30pm. Only a limited number of tickets are available. Rides are $15 for adults and $10 for children up to 12 years old. Rides are weather and safety permitting, with our commercial pilots making the final flight determinations (strong winds or rain will cancel the rides). If the rides are canceled, you may reschedule. We do accept walk-ins after all reservations have gone up. This number depends on the number of reservations for the day, the number of rescheduled rides added on to a date due to rain dates, weather, fuel etc. Walk-in opportunities are not guaranteed and pre-purchased tickets are HIGHLY recommended. Call 440-466-3485 with questions.

FAQs:

What time is my ride?

We take 50 reservations per date. The rides go up in order of reservation. Eventbrite will make note of how many of those 50 tickets are remaining on each date, so you will know how many reservations are before you when you order your tickets. If you are not able to make it by 6pm on the day of your ride and arrive later, your name will go on the list when you arrive. You do not lose out on your reservation as long as weather, time, daylight and fuel allow.

What do I do when I arrive?

Check-in will be at the top of the hill (look for the person holding a big clipboard!). Once you check in, you can find seats, order drinks and food, etc. The attendant will let you know when it’s time for your ride. If all riders are not present at the time you’re called for your ride, you will be bumped back in the reservation line until your total group has arrived.

Who can ride in the balloon?

We are often asked how many people can ride in the balloon. The basket holds the pilot, plus 375-400lbs of passengers. This is usually the pilot plus 2 adults. A smaller child may also fit. If your group is larger than two, your group may be split into multiple rides. Keep this in mind when scheduling rides with children. No more than 3 passengers, regardless. The balloonists will decide which passengers will ride together for safety purposes.

Passengers must be able to climb in to the basket. Step stools are provided, but riders must be able to lift a leg over the basket and climb down into it, as well as climb over the edge to exit. Also keep this in mind with clothing. Women will not want to wear skirts or dresses for their ride.

Children must be 42” tall, and be able to see outside the basket and for safety purposes (babies or small children that need to be held are not permitted on the ride).

How do I know if my scheduled ride is cancelled?

On each tethered ride day, we watch the weather all day. Rides will be cancelled early for obvious forecasted rain. We also watch the wind. Rides are just as easily cancelled for wind. This is a safety issue. The pilot will contact us in the afternoon (approximately 2pm) with his official call on whether the rides are on. IF the pilot cancels, you will be called at that time at the phone number you provide at checkout. If the rides begin with good weather and the weather changes, rides can be cancelled mid-evening. This is for safety. Cancelled rides can be rescheduled.

PLEASE NOTE: Rides are weather and safety permitting, with our pilots making the final flight determinations (strong winds and rain will cancel the rides).
If the pilot has to cancel due to weather issues (wind, rain etc.), they will call us by 2 pm that day. We will then call each reservation and inform you of the cancellation. You may reschedule for another date.
