The first is the public parking area in front of Super-Kmart located at 5350 Leavitt Rd. (route 58) in Lorain, Ohio 44053.
If you take the turnpike, the exit would be exit 140, Amherst/Oberlin-Route 58. When you exit the turnpike onto Rt.58, turn right and head north. You will travel approximately 4 1/2 miles and Super K-mart will be on your left. Please park in the area bordered by Rt.58 (Leavitt Rd.) and the Baskin Robbins/Dunkin Donuts store. Take the swing of Ella, the warm alto tones of Karen Carpenter, add some soul and oodles of cheeky British humor and pow! you have entertainer, singer and song-stylist Helen Welch. The long awaited follow up to her first two hugely popular recordings ‘One Dream’ and ‘Forever for Now’ will be released at this special concert / CD release celebration in the covered pavilion within the elegant surroundings of Gervasi Vineyard.
Helen along with her talented quartet; Joe Leaman on keyboard, Bryan Thomas on bass, Joe Parker on guitar and Anthony Taddeo on drums will treat you to a live performance featuring all the songs from the new CD along with some old favorites too from ‘One Dream’ and ‘Forever for Now’.
Helen is so excited to share this new eclectic collection of songs with everyone and without giving away too many surprises the show will include her hugely popular version of ‘Both Sides Now’, the glorious Michel Le Grande tune from the Thomas Crown Affair ‘Windmills of Your Mind’, two original songs composed by Helen as well as some dramatic blues with ‘I Put a Spell on You’ and a flamenco inspired ‘Spain’ composed by Chick Corea!
